Role Overview

This position is for a Cluster Manager focused on Healthcare Network & Operations. The role involves building, managing, and strengthening the healthcare provider ecosystem across assigned geographies, with the location mentioned as multiple areas in West and South. The job centers on provider acquisition, relationship management, contract negotiation, compliance tracking, and operational support for health insurance network activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboard and engage healthcare partners such as hospitals, doctors, diagnostic centers, vision and dental providers, home care treatment providers, allied medical service providers, and other organizations that can enhance services for policyholders.
  • Bring practical ideas for service engagement and build a strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, especially in relation to hospitals, diagnostic centers, clinics, and other care providers.
  • Create and manage a sufficiently broad provider network within the allotted geography.
  • Maintain ongoing provider relationships and handle all associated relationship-management activities in the assigned region.
  • Study the health insurance market, including competitor offerings and broader industry trends, to gather market intelligence.
  • Plan and execute co-branding initiatives that improve visibility among service providers.
  • Assist the regional network team and apply established industry practices to help drive business success.
  • Negotiate and re-negotiate agreements with physicians and healthcare provider groups.
  • Review operational reports to confirm that compliance obligations are being met and sustained.
  • Share regular updates with zonal leadership on status, risks, and possible opportunities in the assigned area.
  • Handle payment reconciliation, address provider concerns, and prepare region-wise MIS reports for the responsible geographies.
  • Support case-management negotiations with network hospitals in the assigned areas.
  • Identify and monitor fraud, abuse, and leakage risks.
  • Spot opportunities to reprice and re-negotiate tariffs, packages, and discounts with healthcare providers.
  • Travel across geographies as needed while maintaining strong relationships with healthcare partners.

Candidate Profile

  • The preferred candidate should hold a degree or a management qualification; a background in healthcare management is an advantage.
  • Experience of 6 to 8 years in health insurance is required, including at least 5 years in a leadership role managing provider network teams.
  • Hands-on experience in building provider networks from the ground up is important.
  • Strong judgment, quick decision-making ability, and sound analytical thinking are expected.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication, along with strong negotiation capability, are essential.
  • The role calls for someone who adapts well to change and can manage it effectively.
  • Experience in building highly engaged teams is valued.
