Job Purpose
The primary objective of this role is to drive insurance business from assigned relationship managers or channel partners within a specific geographical area. The Cluster Manager will be responsible for persuading these relationships to encourage their customers to invest in Birla Sunlife Insurance products. This includes providing comprehensive pre- and post-sales support and services to both the relationships and their clients, aiming for consistent business growth each quarter beyond just meeting targets.
Roles and Responsibilities
Employees in this position are directly on the payroll of Aditya Birla Sunlife Insurance.
The role involves being assigned to specific bank branches based on the designated territory.
The core duty is to generate insurance business through the assigned bank branch, including walk-in customers and leads provided by branch staff.
Business generation is focused on the assigned branch within the designated geography, catering to both new and existing customers.
The position supports branch profitability by selling ABSLI Insurance products via various acquisition channels within the catchment area.
Key performance indicators include achieving monthly sales targets for New Business Premium (NOP), First Year Premium (FYP), policy persistency, and effective customer complaint resolution.
Responsible for addressing and resolving customer complaints within the specified turnaround time (TAT), ensuring high-quality customer service.
Focus on increasing the penetration of Life Insurance (LI) products among both existing and new customers.
Building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with Branch Managers and branch employees is crucial.
In an open architecture environment, establishing robust relationships with Banca partners is essential.
Key Expectations
Deliver exceptional service and product offerings to meet the requirements of bank customers.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance products and banking products.
Effectively manage relationships at all levels to achieve desired business outcomes.
Communicate any product updates, process changes, or regulatory modifications (internal or IRDA-related) to Banca Partners, utilizing various training modules.
Provide comprehensive support in sales and service activities, including conducting sales calls, managing policy issuance, and handling customer grievances.
