Role Overview
Based in Zambia on a permanent contract, the Cluster Administration & Finance Manager will lead, coordinate, and monitor the Administration and Finance functions across the Cluster entities in Zambia and DRC. The position is focused on ensuring smooth operational support to the business and alignment with group objectives. You will also guide Country Administration and Finance Managers, track their performance, and report to the Head of Administration and Finance while working closely with headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
The role covers financial governance, reporting, operational support, and management of local teams and processes.
- Make sure Administration and Finance teams across the local entities follow legal obligations, company policies, and group standards while operating efficiently.
- Drive the rollout and harmonization of financial processes and working methods across all operational entities.
- Work with the Shared Service Center to ensure accounting and regulatory compliance for financial reporting.
- Strengthen business control activities so that accurate reports, financial analysis, trend insights, and projections support decision-making.
- Carry out recurring financial reviews and produce reliable reports such as balance sheet reviews.
- Contribute to budget and forecast activities as part of the business cycle.
- Provide finance input for key business projects, operational initiatives, and commercial proposals, including compliance checks on offers.
- Support the local rollout of the Financing Department strategy in coordination with the Financing Department.
- Handle fiscal and legal matters for local entities, bringing in the Head of Legal when needed.
- Oversee fiscal, financing, and financial processes across the local operational entities.
- Assist local entities in managing non-HR insurance coverage.
- Build a dependable network of internal support functions and business partners.
- Help local teams with IT and office management matters and coordinate with the Group support contact to implement these services.
- Coach, supervise, and develop Country Administration and Finance Managers, including performance monitoring.
Candidate Profile
The company is seeking a seasoned finance professional with international exposure, strong leadership ability, and a solid understanding of African business environments.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
- Ability to work fluently in both French and English.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or controlling within an international industrial setting, preferably in Africa.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a Finance Manager role in Africa.
- Knowledge of local environments and a willingness to expatriate if needed.
- Prior experience in Africa, ideally in equipment distribution, mining, or construction.
- Proven people management experience.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with SAP ERP is considered an advantage.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, rigor, planning, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel for business around 30% of the time.
