Job description

Role Overview

This is a 7-month contract opportunity based in Carlsbad, California, with the work performed fully onsite. The position supports research activities in a healthcare and laboratory setting.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in life sciences with laboratory coursework directly relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
  • Prior exposure at the entry level or through an internship in a laboratory environment is an advantage.
  • Experience with molecular biology methods such as PCR and DNA extraction is considered a plus.
  • Ability to plan and carry out research activities with supervision.
  • Capability to review, interpret, and document study results in an organized manner.
  • Comfort with performing laboratory calculations.
  • Experience handling reagent testing tasks.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including word processing and spreadsheet tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and cross-functional groups.
