Role summary
Dexterra is seeking an evening Cleaner/Porter to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment at Valley Fair Mall in Maple Ridge. Reporting to the Account Manager, you will also be responsible for keeping the equipment and tools used for daily tasks in good condition and carrying out other related duties as assigned. The shift runs from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Thursday through Monday.
Key duties
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas and washrooms.
- Remove, move, and dispose of garbage.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and carpets.
- Perform high dusting in shared spaces.
- Clean windows.
- Use an auto scrubber as needed.
- Operate a carpet extractor.
- Carry out snow clearing and apply ice melt when required.

Qualifications
- A positive and professional attitude.
- At least 1 year of experience in cleaning.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a supervisor, clients, and the general public.
- Capacity to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Working knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements and WHMIS.
- Ability to pass a clear criminal background check.
