About the Role
Senior Helpers supports older adults in living safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes. The organization is looking for dependable, detail-focused Cleaners to help clients keep their homes neat, hygienic, and welcoming.
Role Overview
In this position, you will contribute to clients’ day-to-day well-being by maintaining clean, orderly living spaces. The job suits someone who takes pride in thorough work and understands the value of making a positive impact in someone’s home.
Key Duties
- Carry out routine household cleaning tasks across client homes.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed.
- Dust and disinfect surfaces to maintain hygiene.
- Clean kitchens and bathrooms thoroughly.
- Handle laundry and other light housekeeping tasks.
- Keep the client’s environment clean, safe, and organized.
- Work according to established cleaning procedures and safety practices.
- Protect client confidentiality and remain professional at all times.
- Pass any relevant concerns or observations to the office team.
Qualifications
Prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping is preferred. The ideal candidate will be organized, attentive to detail, dependable, and punctual. You should be comfortable working independently in private homes, communicate well, and be legally permitted to work in Canada.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a dependable vehicle are preferred.
- Ability to travel within Sarnia-Lambton and nearby areas.
- Ability to provide a Criminal Record Check, or willingness to obtain one.
