Role overview
WinnCompanies is hiring a Cleaner for Kennedy Communities, an affordable housing property with 364 homes in El Paso, Texas. This position focuses on keeping the community clean and well maintained across rental units, shared indoor areas, the office, grounds, and parking areas.
The pay range for this position is $11.00 to $12.00 per hour, and the schedule is Monday through Friday.
Key duties
The cleaner will carry out a variety of custodial and light groundskeeping tasks to support day-to-day property upkeep.
- Clean windows, walls, floors, stairwells, laundry rooms, elevators, and carpets.
- Remove trash from bins and keep exterior walkways tidy by sweeping sidewalks.
- Assist with outdoor upkeep such as connecting hoses, raking lawns and flower beds, planting flowers, and spreading mulch.
- Follow the property’s established daily cleaning routine.
- Clear snow and ice from walkways, parking lots, and driveways when needed.
- Prepare and clean vacant apartments.
- Take on additional cleaning-related tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
Candidates should have less than one year of related work experience, along with strong customer service ability. The role also requires the ability to read and understand spoken and written English, respond politely and promptly to requests, and handle heavy lifting and other physically demanding movements.
Preferred qualification
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
