Job description
Position Overview
As a Cleaner with BOYLE Sports in Banbury, you will help keep the premises clean, organised, and comfortable for both customers and staff. The role covers a range of areas across the site, including bathrooms, betting zones, and shared spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.
- Deep clean and disinfect washrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors.
- Remove waste from bins and fit new liners as needed.
- Keep betting terminals and gaming areas clean and presentable.
- Track cleaning stock and replenish supplies when required.
- Work in line with the set cleaning timetable and site procedures.
- Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene rules.
- Escalate any repair needs or safety concerns to management without delay.
Qualifications and Skills
- Background in commercial cleaning or housekeeping is helpful, though not mandatory.
- You should be able to travel to the store from a reasonable commuting distance.
- Comfortable working on your own and completing tasks efficiently.
- Strong eye for detail and a careful approach to work.
- Clear communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
- Ability to take direction and follow instructions accurately.
Working Schedule
The rota typically covers 4 to 7 days each week, depending on the store. Shifts are short, usually 1 to 2 hours per day, and take place outside BOYLE Sports trading hours.
