About the role
An opportunity is available for a Class 5 Linehaul Driver to join the Christchurch branch and support collections and deliveries for one of the company’s major customers. The role is centred on safe, timely freight movement and strong service delivery.
Work schedule
The shift runs from Tuesday to Saturday, with a minimum of 10 hours each day. You must also be willing to work on public holidays if needed and remain flexible with weekend coverage when route disruptions occur.
Key responsibilities
- Handle freight safely during loading and unloading, including manual handling and forklift use when required.
- Make sure goods are moved without damage and are scanned correctly every time.
- Complete deliveries and pickups on schedule and in full.
- Follow all safety processes and procedures at all times.
- Operate the vehicle in a lawful and safe manner.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well maintained, both inside and out.
Requirements
- Valid full New Zealand Class 5 licence is essential.
- Dangerous Goods endorsement is required.
- Forklift licence with OSH certificate is required.
- A customer-oriented approach is important.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities are needed.
- Prior driving experience on New Zealand roads is expected.
