Overview

Join Amwins Self-Funded as a Claims Analyst and make an impactful contribution in the insurance industry. This primarily in-office role includes the option to work remotely up to two days per week after successful completion of training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain a thorough understanding of Amwins’ business model and its product offerings with support from management and auditing leads.
  • Communicate effectively and punctually with carriers, administrators, clients, and brokers using approved correspondence, ensuring Claims Lead is copied.
  • Manage monthly claims reports for assigned accounts, ensuring delegation to the correct carriers and following up on any missing documents.
  • Evaluate reimbursement requests for completeness and request additional information as needed.
  • Secure approval from Claims Lead regarding eligibility documentation for time-offs exceeding twelve weeks prior to processing reimbursement claims.
  • Submit and record reimbursement requests within authorized dollar limits, tracking and pursuing outstanding payments.
  • Review and process reimbursements, informing designated contacts with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain internal claim tracking logs to ensure precise record-keeping.
  • Oversee closure of client accounts by settling all reimbursements at the end of the plan year.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by performing additional duties and collaborating effectively with team members.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferably hold a college degree or possess equivalent practical experience.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and meeting deadlines efficiently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sharp attention to detail combined with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Keen enthusiasm to learn and understand Amwins’ business model thoroughly.
