Job description
Role Overview
Lazourdy Contracting & General Maintenance is hiring a Civil Planning Engineer for its Abu Dhabi operations. This is a full-time, permanent position suited to a professional with a strong civil engineering foundation and hands-on experience in planning, scheduling, and monitoring construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed baseline project programmes, including work breakdown structures, activity logic, and important project milestones.
- Use Primavera P6 to develop, revise, and resource-load project schedules.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress updates with supporting tools such as S-curves, Gantt charts, manpower histograms, and other tracking formats.
- Track actual site progress against the approved baseline, identify critical path items, and flag possible delays or schedule slippages early.
- Run regular progress review discussions with project management and site teams to resolve planning issues and improve resource use.
- Make sure the schedule stays aligned with the real execution plan and that milestone dates remain practical and achievable.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling.
- Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6 is mandatory.
- Good familiarity with EPC terminology, workflow sequencing, and task dependencies is expected.
- Exposure to cost control processes will be an added advantage.
