Role overview
Seymour Pacific Developments Ltd. is a leading Canadian land development and residential construction company, and it is hiring a Civil Labourer for work in Campbell River, British Columbia. The role suits someone who has hands-on exposure to residential excavation, grading, and utility work, along with a solid grasp of civil construction basics.
What you'll do
- Support crews with manual site work such as digging, moving materials or equipment, and other related labour tasks.
- Help level and compact trench backfill around pipes and manholes.
- Assist the pipe layer during installation of water, storm, and sanitary piping.
- Carry out construction clean-up as needed.
- Take on other duties assigned by the supervisor.
What we're looking for
- Prior experience in residential excavation, grading, and utility work is considered an advantage.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of civil construction principles is an asset.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
- Willingness to follow all company rules and safety requirements.
Compensation and benefits
Pay starts at $20.80 to $26.00 per hour, with the final rate based on your skills, education, and experience.
