Role overview

This position is for a Civil Engineer to contribute to the planning, design, development, and delivery of civil works projects. The scope includes infrastructure assets such as roads, bridges, drainage systems, and other essential structures. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is intended for on-site work.

What you will do

  • Support the planning and design of civil engineering assignments using CAD and modeling tools.
  • Carry out surveys and site visits as required, then organize the findings for analysis and reporting.
  • Work alongside senior engineers to draft technical reports, project specifications, and engineering calculations.
  • Help ensure that all project activities align with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Take part in project meetings and contribute practical ideas for execution and issue resolution.
  • Assist with project planning tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and assigning resources.
  • Keep accurate documentation of engineering work for future reference, audits, and internal use.
  • Continue building professional knowledge through workshops, training sessions, and industry events.
  • Review designs with a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and improved construction methods.

What is expected

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Good grasp of civil engineering fundamentals, structural analysis basics, and design standards.
  • Working familiarity with common engineering software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Basic knowledge of construction materials, construction methods, regulatory requirements, and environmental engineering principles.
  • Ability to carry out both numerical and qualitative analysis for project evaluation.
  • Strong mathematics foundation, especially in calculus and statistics as applied to engineering.
  • Clear written and spoken communication, particularly for technical reports and documentation.
  • Comfort working in multidisciplinary teams and adjusting to demanding project conditions.
  • Strong organization and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
