About the role
Techtanium is looking for a forward-thinking Head of Technology & Product / CTO to steer technical direction and shape the product roadmap. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can define long-range product strategy for large banks while also guiding the rollout of AI-led development practices and Web3-based solutions. You will connect client business objectives with engineering delivery, helping the organization remain competitive in AI and blockchain while meeting the high standards of the financial sector.
Key responsibilities
- Set the product direction for both Techtanium’s in-house offerings and client consulting engagements, keeping the roadmap aligned with developments in fintech, AI, and Web3.
- Guide engineering and product teams in building secure, scalable, and high-performance systems, while promoting disciplined agile execution.
- Drive innovation by introducing Generative AI and decentralized technologies such as DeFi, smart contracts, and digital identity into conventional financial processes.
- Advise senior stakeholders at major financial institutions, turning complex technology ideas into clear business outcomes.
- Champion the use of AI-powered development tools, including Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code, to significantly improve development speed and code quality.
- Own the full product journey, from market research and specification writing through launch and ongoing performance review.
- Make sure all solutions comply with financial regulations and risk controls, including KYC, AML, and GDPR, across Asian and international markets.
Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of experience in technology leadership or product management, with a demonstrated ability to launch and scale technology products.
- Strong knowledge of financial services, including areas such as core banking, digital wallets, or wealth management.
- A solid specialized background in either AI or Web3 is essential, with direct experience in Web3 protocols such as Ethereum, L2 networks, and Solidity, or in deploying AI/ML solutions such as LLMs, RAG systems, or agentic AI.
- Comfort with AI-first coding environments and assistants, along with the ability to show how AI can speed up the software development lifecycle.
- Advanced understanding of Agile and Scrum practices, with the ability to manage fast-paced iteration in a consulting environment.
- Proven people leadership skills, including mentoring cross-functional teams made up of developers and designers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred experience
- Background in digital banking or payment systems, including ISO 20022, SWIFT, and real-time payment rails.
- Experience working in a top-tier technology consulting organization.
- A professional network across the Asian fintech and banking ecosystem.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS/GCP Solutions Architect or Certified Blockchain Professional.
