Role overview

This remote, full-time leadership role calls for a Chief Strategy Officer to shape, guide, and implement the organization’s strategic direction. The position is responsible for building plans that support long-term growth and continuity, translating mission into measurable priorities, and helping senior leadership keep operational activity aligned with organizational goals.

Core focus areas

  • Drive the organization’s strategic agenda from planning through execution.
  • Lead business planning efforts and use data to support decisions.
  • Coordinate strategic planning processes and ensure they remain aligned with the mission.
  • Provide executive-level leadership that connects day-to-day operations with long-term objectives.
  • Work with internal teams and outside partners to strengthen collaboration and explore funding opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Strong capability in business planning and strategic planning, with the ability to build and execute effective organizational strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability for interpreting information, spotting patterns, and supporting sound decisions.
  • Solid finance knowledge to manage budgets, forecasts, and funding-related efforts.
  • Demonstrated executive leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams and align them to shared goals.
  • Clear communication, cooperation, and relationship-building skills for partnership development and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience in non-profit management or rural development would be a strong advantage.
  • A master’s degree in Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, or a similar discipline is preferred.
