Job Purpose

This role is responsible for leading Dubai Chambers’ presence in the host country and advancing its strategic objectives there. The position focuses on building strong ties with government and business leaders, supporting the delivery of Dubai’s international economic priorities, and representing Dubai Chambers as a key diplomatic and strategic voice in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the implementation of Dubai Chambers’ international strategy in the host market, ensuring it supports Dubai’s economic agenda and broader global competitiveness goals.
  • Serve as the official face of Dubai Chambers locally, increasing the organization’s visibility, reach, and influence.
  • Develop and sustain senior-level relationships with government bodies, business groups, strategic partners, and decision-makers to support Dubai’s economic diplomacy efforts.
  • Promote Dubai as a major international business destination by highlighting opportunities, initiatives, and sector growth areas.
  • Monitor the host market and assess developments, opportunities, and risks, then translate findings into strategic intelligence for Dubai Chambers and relevant UAE stakeholders.
  • Advise Dubai-based companies considering the host market and help local businesses that want to expand into Dubai.
  • Drive efforts to position Dubai as an attractive location for high-potential companies from the host country to establish or grow their operations.
  • Support Dubai-based firms entering the host market through introductions, market-entry support, and tailored guidance.
  • Encourage foreign investors to secure new business licenses in Dubai and help Dubai companies expand internationally.
  • Coordinate with internal Dubai Chambers teams so that local activities remain aligned with sector priorities, investment promotion targets, and global expansion plans.
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficiency, policy compliance, and strong performance standards.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and administrative workflows to keep the office running effectively.
  • Lead the execution of promotional events, networking forums, trade missions, and business facilitation initiatives.
  • Represent Dubai Chambers at public events and speaking engagements, delivering presentations that strengthen Dubai’s international image.
  • Ensure the office follows information security, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously improve systems, procedures, and service delivery in line with international best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in international business, business administration, economics, public policy, or a closely related discipline.
  • 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in international relations, government affairs, economic development, or corporate diplomacy, ideally in the host market.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a managerial or leadership position.
  • Strong bilingual ability in English and the local language.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
  • Proven public speaking skills and strong business etiquette.
  • Solid understanding of the political, economic, and business environment in the host country.
  • Ability to work effectively across different cultures and adapt to local contexts.

Competencies

  • International relations and government affairs capability with accountable, high-quality execution.
  • Strategic communication and public diplomacy skills with transparent, credible engagement.
  • Market analysis and business advisory ability with insight-driven decision-making.
  • Leadership in events and trade promotion with strong, high-impact delivery.
  • Cross-cultural and protocol expertise with a respectful, adaptive, relationship-focused approach.
