Chief Operating Officer

Role overview

Blue Guardian is hiring a seasoned Chief Operating Officer to partner directly with the Founder and CEO in a pivotal leadership capacity. This position is suited to someone who already understands proprietary trading at a deep level and can help guide the company’s expansion from both an operational and strategic angle.

The company is not seeking a candidate who needs to be introduced to the prop trading world. Instead, it is looking for an experienced operator with strong knowledge of prop firm structures, trader behavior, evaluation frameworks, risk management principles, and the practical realities of running this type of business.

The right person will be commercially aware, highly hands-on, ambitious, and interested in a long-term role where they can evolve with the business and help shape its future direction.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO to turn company strategy and business priorities into action.
• Take ownership of day-to-day operations across several functions and departments.
• Design, improve, and expand internal workflows, systems, and operating processes.
• Supervise department leads and senior managers.
• Strengthen efficiency, ownership, and performance across the organization.
• Support hiring efforts and help build strong teams across operations, customer support, marketing, finance, and other areas.
• Track important business indicators and share practical recommendations with leadership.
• Work alongside product, marketing, finance, risk, and support teams to lift overall business performance.
• Spot opportunities for growth and identify operational enhancements.
• Use data, reporting, and business intelligence to support decision-making.
• Make sure company projects are delivered effectively and within timelines.
• Act as a polished representative with partners, suppliers, and important stakeholders when needed.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in the proprietary trading sector is mandatory.
• Strong grasp of prop firm operations, evaluation programs, trader psychology, payout structures, risk management, and customer lifecycle management.
• Background in a senior leadership, executive, or operational role.
• Proven track record in recruiting, leading, and developing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to scale processes, systems, and operations in a rapidly growing business.
• Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Fluent native-level English speaker.
• Well organized, proactive, and focused on execution.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Currently based in Dubai or ready to relocate immediately.

Ideal candidate

The preferred candidate is business-minded, achievement-oriented, and has a strong record of delivering results. Prior experience inside a prop firm, brokerage, trading company, or a closely related financial business is highly desirable.

This person should already understand the sector at an expert level and be able to add strategic value from the first day. They should also be confident in recruiting, managing, and developing high-performing teams.

The ideal COO thrives when taking responsibility, enjoys building organizations, has a long-term mindset, and brings an entrepreneurial approach grounded in ownership and accountability. They should be able to serve as a trusted partner and advisor to the CEO.
