Job description
Role overview
This is an executive leadership opening based in Dublin for a Chief Operating Officer. The business is a well-known hospitality and foodservice group in Ireland, with a sizeable network of company-operated locations across Ireland and the UK. The appointment follows a planned leadership transition and offers a chance to help shape the company’s next stage of expansion and transformation.
Reporting to the CEO, the COO will oversee operational delivery across a large owned estate, with accountability for customer experience, commercial results, leadership strength, and operational excellence at scale.
The role is suited to a senior operator who wants to join a respected consumer brand with a strong culture, an established leadership team, and ambitious growth plans.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and improve performance across a broad, multi-location operation.
- Strengthen consistency, service quality, and the customer journey.
- Support profitability and overall commercial outcomes through operational leadership.
- Build and develop strong operational management teams.
- Create greater capability, ownership, and succession depth across the organisation.
- Improve systems, reporting, and visibility of operational performance.
- Lead ongoing improvements in people, process, and day-to-day execution.
- Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team on strategic growth priorities.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished operational leader with significant experience managing multiple sites in hospitality, coffee, quick service restaurants, foodservice, contract catering, or another consumer-facing environment.
They should bring strong commercial judgement, including direct responsibility for multi-unit profit and loss performance, plus a record of lifting operational consistency, scale, and effectiveness.
Experience leading through regional, area, or multi-site management structures is important, along with the ability to create high-performing teams and a strong operational culture. Executive presence, credibility, and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders are also essential.
While prior COO experience would be helpful, the employer is also open to senior Operations Directors, Heads of Operations, and other executive-level operational leaders ready to step into a wider leadership remit.
Opportunity
- Join a leading brand with strong market recognition.
- Help define the direction of a business in growth mode.
- Collaborate with an experienced and well-regarded executive team.
- Make a meaningful impact on both operations and commercial performance.
- Lead growth, performance improvement, and continuous refinement across the organisation.
- Take part in the next phase of a highly successful company.
Compensation
An executive-level pay package is available for the right candidate.
