Role Summary
The Chief Operating Officer will work remotely on a full-time basis and will be responsible for managing everyday operations while strengthening efficiency across Learn Capital’s programs and business activities. This position focuses on improving course delivery, enhancing the learner journey, and refining internal processes so the organization can scale smoothly without sacrificing quality. The COO will partner with executive leadership to shape and implement strategy, keep operations aligned with growth objectives, and track key performance measures. The role also involves leading cross-functional teams, introducing better systems and tools, handling budgets and resource planning, and supporting decisions based on data. In addition, the COO will help establish policies and standards that support an inclusive, learner-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the organization’s daily operational activity and ensure core business functions run efficiently.
- Improve and scale processes connected to course delivery, learner experience, and internal workflows.
- Work with senior leadership to define operational strategy and translate growth goals into execution plans.
- Build, guide, and coordinate teams across different functions to support performance and accountability.
- Introduce systems, tools, and process improvements that increase productivity and consistency.
- Manage budgets, allocate resources wisely, and support financial discipline across operations.
- Monitor business metrics and use insights to inform operational choices and continuous improvement.
- Help develop policies, standards, and operating practices that preserve quality and inclusion.
Qualifications
- Strong background in business planning and strategic leadership, with the ability to design and execute long-term operational and growth plans.
- Solid experience in operations management, including scaling workflows, managing cross-functional teams, and improving systems in a digital or education setting.
- Good analytical ability, with experience interpreting data, setting KPIs, and turning insights into better decisions.
- Experience in finance and budgeting, including P&L oversight, budget management, and efficient resource allocation.
- Prior success in leading remote teams, along with strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to online education, digital learning, or other digital-first business models is an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline; an MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
