Role Summary
The Chief Operating Officer will work remotely on a full-time basis and will be accountable for running day-to-day operations and helping the business deliver dependable consulting services of a consistently high standard. This position requires turning strategic priorities into workable operating plans, overseeing business processes, and tracking performance across projects, workflows, and client work.
Key Responsibilities
The COO will partner with leadership on planning and execution, manage budgets and financial performance, improve operational systems, tools, and policies, and support distributed teams. The role also calls for building a culture of ownership and continuous improvement, maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards, spotting opportunities to improve service delivery, supporting business development initiatives, and using data to inform decisions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should bring strong capabilities in business planning, operations management, and data analysis, along with a solid grasp of finance and budgeting. Experience working with remote or distributed teams is important, as are communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. A background in consulting, professional services, or a similar setting is preferred, and exposure to training, change management, or engineering environments would be an advantage.
Education and Professional Profile
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related area is required. An advanced degree or relevant professional certification is considered beneficial.
