Role Summary

This is a full-time remote leadership position responsible for managing everyday operations and ensuring that strategic plans are executed effectively across the organization. The Chief Operating Officer will shape and improve operational systems, keep business strategy aligned with execution, and help the company scale in a structured way. The role involves close partnership with the executive team to build and roll out business plans, oversee budgets, and review financial results. It also requires guiding cross-functional teams, defining operational KPIs, monitoring performance indicators, and maintaining efficient workflows that support content curation, partnerships, and platform growth. The COO is expected to promote accountability, continuous improvement, and decisions based on data, while representing operational priorities in senior leadership conversations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization’s day-to-day operational activities and ensure smooth execution across functions.
  • Develop, refine, and optimize processes, systems, and workflows to support efficiency and scale.
  • Work with the executive leadership team to translate strategy into actionable business plans.
  • Manage budgeting activities, financial tracking, and performance review processes.
  • Direct cross-functional teams and align their efforts toward common organizational goals.
  • Define operational KPIs, measure progress, and use data to improve outcomes.
  • Support the operational side of content curation, partnership management, and platform expansion.
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, ongoing improvement, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Represent operational concerns and priorities in senior leadership discussions.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong capability in business planning, including strategic roadmapping and goal setting.
  • Solid experience in operations management, with proven ability to build and improve processes and systems.
  • Advanced analytical ability to interpret information, generate insights, and guide decisions.
  • Experience with finance and budgeting, including forecasting, expense control, and monitoring financial performance.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in a fast-moving, growth-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills suited to a remote, globally distributed workplace.
  • Experience in digital platforms, media, or professional services is considered an added advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related subject; an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
