Chief Accountant

Role Overview

Awraad Hotel is looking for a Chief Accountant to oversee the full range of accounting and finance activities within the hotel. The role calls for strong hospitality-sector experience and hands-on responsibility for reporting, budgeting, revenue oversight, cost management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the hotel’s day-to-day accounting and finance functions.
• Compile monthly and yearly financial statements along with management reports.
• Track hotel income, occupancy-linked revenue, and conduct daily revenue checks.
• Review operating expenses and assess spending across departments.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities.
• Carry out bank reconciliations and manage cash flow effectively.
• Assist in building annual budgets and financial projections.
• Ensure all accounting work follows applicable standards, tax laws, and internal policies.
• Provide support during external as well as internal audits.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership to strengthen profitability and overall financial results.

Required Background

The ideal candidate should bring a solid accounting foundation with proven experience in the hospitality or hotel sector. Familiarity with hotel revenue processes, departmental cost structures, and finance controls is essential. Experience with ERP tools and hotel management systems will be valuable.
