Role overview

We are seeking a Chemistry Expert in Germany for a contract assignment supporting the development of advanced artificial intelligence systems. In this fully remote role, you will use high-level chemistry knowledge to build challenging STEM training data that strengthens model evaluation and training. The work blends scientific reasoning, quantitative analysis, computational methods, and technical writing in a flexible environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build advanced chemistry questions that mirror practical research and industrial workflows across different chemistry areas.
• Develop tasks with one clearly correct answer and provide complete, checked solutions.
• Craft reasoning-heavy problems that assess chemical theory, numerical analysis, and computational thinking.
• Use Python and, where useful, chemistry software, modeling platforms, or simulation tools to support task creation.
• Make sure all materials are accurate, reproducible, well documented, and aligned with high scientific standards.
• Write clear, concise technical explanations in English to support validation and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
• Background in computational, quantitative, analytical, or modeling-oriented chemistry work through professional, academic, or research experience.
• Strong command of Python and familiarity with scientific computing and data analysis libraries.
• Solid grasp of chemical reasoning, numerical techniques, modeling methods, and advanced problem-solving.
• Ability to create original, difficult content that goes beyond standard textbook-style exercises.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and technical writing ability.
• Experience with computational chemistry, cheminformatics, spectroscopy, molecular modeling, simulation tools, or specialized chemistry software is a strong plus.
• Prior work creating technical assessments, evaluation content, or scientific training data is an advantage.
