About the role
The Mercure Hotel Köln City Friesenstrasse is a 4-star property with 103 rooms and is part of Revo Hospitality Group. Located in the centre of Cologne, just a short walk from Friesenstraße, the hotel offers easy access to the cathedral, old town and trade fair grounds.

Position details
Start date: immediately. Employment type: full-time. Contract type: permanent. Work location: Cologne.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare fresh ingredients, organise your workstation and ensure food is stored correctly for a smooth kitchen start.
- Assist in producing both cold and hot dishes while maintaining strong standards for quality, flavour and presentation.
- Work closely with the wider kitchen and service teams, including à la carte service and event catering.
- Follow all hygiene, food safety and HACCP requirements with a disciplined and responsible approach.
- Continue developing your professional skills by learning actively and gaining exposure to different kitchen sections.
Candidate profile
- Completed vocational training as a cook.
- Initial professional experience as Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
- Genuine enthusiasm for food, cooking and creative preparation.
- Strong teamwork, commitment and an organised way of working.
- High sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Good German skills; English is an advantage.
