Role Overview

We are seeking a Channel Brand Manager who can turn customer communications into a strategic engine for growth. The role is focused on shaping how customers experience brand messaging across SMS, email and push notifications, with an emphasis on business impact, customer relevance and scalable execution.

The right candidate will combine brand thinking, an understanding of consumer behavior, strong writing ability and data-led decision-making. This position is suited to someone who can move beyond routine execution and use modern marketing approaches, automation and AI-enabled tools to improve engagement, product uptake and overall business performance.

Customer Communication Strategy

  • Take ownership of communication planning across SMS, email and push notification channels.
  • Create channel-wise plans that support business goals, customer lifecycle stages and brand direction.
  • Keep all customer messaging aligned with Airtel’s brand tone while also delivering measurable commercial results.
  • Design communication systems that strengthen engagement, improve adoption, support retention and unlock cross-sell opportunities.
  • Use technology and AI-based tools to make communication more personalized, effective and operationally efficient.

Brand and Campaign Management

  • Convert business priorities into persuasive customer communication campaigns.
  • Develop messaging that connects customer needs, brand consistency and business objectives.
  • Work with Brand, Product and Category teams on communication plans for launches, campaigns and key initiatives.
  • Bring a strong consumer perspective to every communication decision.
  • Accelerate campaign delivery through automation, reusable structures and scalable content methods.

Performance and Business Impact

  • Set clear success measures for communication initiatives and build reliable tracking frameworks.
  • Monitor campaign outcomes, customer reactions and how each channel performs.
  • Turn performance data into insights and recommendations that improve engagement and conversion.
  • Show a direct connection between communication efforts and business results.
  • Keep looking for ways to improve productivity, simplify workflows and expand communication operations at scale.

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate closely with Product, Category, Analytics, Martech and Brand teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Manage several stakeholders while maintaining timelines and proactive communication.
  • Serve as the main contact for customer communication planning across different business units.

Experience and Skills

This role calls for 3 to 6 years of experience in Brand Management, CRM Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, Customer Communications or Growth Marketing. Prior exposure to customer-facing channels such as SMS, email, push notifications or WhatsApp is important. A good grasp of customer journeys, engagement planning and communication strategy is essential.

Applicants should bring strong brand and consumer insight, excellent copywriting skills, an analytical approach and the ability to turn data into practical actions. The role also requires confidence in handling projects independently, influencing cross-functional teams, solving problems strategically and using AI-powered productivity and marketing tools to work more efficiently.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline is required. An MBA from a well-regarded institute is preferred.
