Role overview
Everstory Partners is looking for a dependable Cemetery Groundskeeper in Lansing, Michigan. The organization focuses on creating respectful, comforting spaces for families navigating loss, and this position plays a key part in maintaining the property, supporting services, and helping ensure a safe, well-kept environment for staff and visitors.
What you will do
- Carry out routine landscape care, including mowing, trimming, and weed control.
- Keep tools, machines, and equipment in working condition.
- Support tasks connected to funeral and cemetery services.
- Use machinery safely and according to procedure.
- Assist with the installation of cemetery vaults.
- Set up headstones or memorial markers when required.
- Perform daily general upkeep and maintenance around the property.
- Handle snow removal duties when needed.
- Take on additional assignments given by the Grounds Superintendent.

Requirements
- High school equivalency is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a similar field.
- Ability to operate maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Comfort reading and following memos and directions from supervisors or management.
- Strong organization skills and the ability to manage several tasks despite interruptions.
- Good customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
- A valid state driver’s license is required.
- Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends when needed.
