Cashier

Overview

First Town Foods is hiring a cashier for its Fort Vermilion, Alberta location. This role is based at the store and must be performed in person; remote work is not available.

Language

English communication is required.

Education

A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience

Applicants should have between 7 months and less than 1 year of relevant experience.

Key Duties

• Handle cash register operations.
• Scan products accurately at checkout.
• Assist customers and provide service at the point of sale.
• Confirm customer age when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco.
• Prepare items for sale, rental, or leasing.
• Keep sales records up to date for inventory tracking.
• Support the presentation and arrangement of merchandise.
• Process payments by cash, cheque, credit card, or debit.
