Job description

About the Role

Join a growing cash management and ATM services business that supports financial institutions, retailers, and corporate customers across the UK. As a Cash-In Transit Driver, you will be part of a team responsible for moving cash and valuables safely, supporting ATM replenishment, and helping maintain reliable access to cash for communities.

This role is based in Manchester, England, United Kingdom, and sits within a company that operates from three depots: Glasgow, Manchester, and Thurrock. The position is permanent and full-time.

What You’ll Do

  • Transport cash, coin, and other valuable items securely between customer locations.
  • Carry out basic first-line maintenance at customer sites so ATMs remain clean, tidy, professional, and functioning properly.
  • Refill ATMs and cash machines in a safe and professional way to help keep cash access available.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks, raise any concerns straight away, and help maintain safety and reliability standards.
  • Follow strict security procedures and company rules to protect yourself, your colleagues, and client assets.
  • Work with dispatch teams and clients to keep routes on schedule and meet expectations.
  • Keep accurate records of each transfer, including cash amounts and location details.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to unexpected issues while keeping disruption to a minimum.

What You’ll Need

  • A full, clean driving licence.
  • At least 2 years of commercial driving experience, ideally in a 3.5-tonne van or a similar vehicle.
  • Background in security, field service, logistics, transport, or a similar area is preferred.
  • SIA experience is an advantage, though it is not required because full training is provided.
  • Strong attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work independently.
  • Good physical fitness and confidence handling valuables carefully and securely.
  • Flexibility to begin work as early as 04:30 am, including weekends and occasional holiday shifts.
  • No live County Court Judgements (CCJs), Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) or Trust Deeds in Scotland, and no active bankruptcy declaration.

Working Pattern and Training

You will work a fixed 4-on, 4-off rolling shift pattern, which supports a better work-life balance. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, including training to a world-class standard for the SIA (CViT) licence.

Benefits

  • Permanent, full-time employment with a starting salary of £28,784 per year.
  • Full uniform and equipment supplied.
  • Life insurance worth 4 times annual salary.
  • Employee wellbeing support, including 24-hour confidential counselling.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • On-site parking.
  • Holiday entitlement starting at 21 days and increasing with service.

Who This Role Suits

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a security, transport, logistics, or field operations background who values professionalism, reliability, and integrity. It also suits candidates looking to build a stable career with purpose in a role that supports essential cash services across the UK.
