Position Summary

Break Through Tech is seeking a careful, collaborative Career Services Grader to support the Delivery team. Reporting to the Director of Career Services, this part-time, non-exempt position involves evaluating resume, LinkedIn, and GitHub materials for participants in the 2026–2027 AI program. The ideal candidate can review job-search materials quickly and accurately while following Break Through Tech’s guidelines and grading standards. Experience assessing materials for undergraduate job seekers is preferred.

This is a remote role limited to 10 hours per week, beginning July 16, 2026 and ending August 28, 2026. The hourly rate is $25, with a cap of 10 hours per week. U.S. work authorization is required.

Key Duties

The responsibilities below reflect the approximate time split for the role.

  • Review undergraduate fellows’ resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and GitHub profiles using established rubrics and evaluation standards.
  • Write clear, constructive feedback, apply scoring accurately, and log assessments in Canvas or another assigned grading platform.
  • Keep grading work organized, meet deadlines, protect participant confidentiality, and coordinate professionally with program staff when needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of resume, LinkedIn, and GitHub best practices for undergraduate job seekers
  • Ability to apply standardized rubrics consistently and objectively
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to give actionable feedback
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle sensitive participant information confidentially
  • Comfort using Canvas or comparable online grading and learning management tools
  • Ability to operate independently in a remote setting with limited supervision
  • Interest or experience in career readiness, internships, or early-career recruiting is preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently without losing attention to detail
  • Professional interpersonal communication skills

Education and Experience

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Personal computer and reliable internet access
  • Comfort with Canvas or another grading platform
  • Strong organizational ability and the discipline to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred qualifications

  • Background in undergraduate career services or career coaching
  • Experience reviewing undergraduate job-search materials

Work Model and Location

This position is remote, but candidates must be based in the United States.

Compensation and Hours

  • Hourly pay of $25
  • Up to 10 hours per week
