Imperial College London Diabetes & Endocrine Centre (ICLDEC) is recognized internationally for its work in diabetes and endocrine care, education, and research. Founded in 2006 by Mubadala in collaboration with Imperial College London, the centre treats a wide range of diabetes and endocrine conditions, while also contributing to research, training, and public health awareness. With four branches in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, it is known for offering comprehensive care for diabetes and related complications in one setting.
Role Summary
The cardiac assistant role suits a candidate with a diploma in a healthcare-related field and exposure to cardiac certifications, backed by more than two years of practical experience in cardiac or diagnostic support. The ideal applicant has worked in healthcare settings, preferably JCIA-accredited facilities, and is familiar with cardiac procedures, patient preparation, and positioning methods. Strong communication, close attention to detail, a patient-first mindset, and fluency in English are essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care activities while working under the guidance of cardiac sonographers and physicians.
- Help prepare patients and support non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic tests such as echocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, tilt table testing, and ankle-brachial index assessments.
Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or diploma in a healthcare-related discipline.
- Bring at least 2 years of practical experience in cardiac support or diagnostic assistance.
- Understand cardiac procedures well, including how to prepare and position patients correctly.
- Communicate effectively and interact with patients in a professional, supportive manner.
- Be proficient in English.
