About the role
Matthews™ is a rapidly expanding commercial real estate firm in the United States. The company is hiring an Associate for its Capital Markets team, with a focus on debt placement across all types of commercial real estate assets. The opportunity is geared toward driven, competitive people who bring an entrepreneurial attitude, strong determination, and a willingness to work hard. Successful candidates should be highly motivated, ambitious, and able to communicate effectively. The goal in this role is to outperform competitors, use Matthews’ platform to generate business, and develop lasting relationships with property owners and lenders. The team operates in a busy, energetic, and collaborative setting.
What you'll do
- Complete the company’s rigorous, hands-on training program.
- Build deep knowledge of commercial real estate analysis and underwriting.
- Proactively contact owners of commercial properties on an ongoing basis.
- Be ready to handle more than 100 cold calls each day to investment property owners.
- Keep accurate activity records in Matthews™ proprietary CRM platform.
- Use the organization’s tools, systems, and technology to earn business and strengthen relationships with property owners and debt capital providers.
- Prepare financial analysis and underwriting support for real estate clients.
- Partner with Sales Leaders and Mentors to develop an effective business plan.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
