Role Summary
The Campus Talent Acquisition Manager will own sourcing and selection efforts for UNIQLO’s Management Candidate Program and Internship Program. This role acts as a subject matter expert for campus hiring and is responsible for creating, improving, and executing recruiting strategies across these programs.
Reporting Line, Location, and Schedule
This position reports to the Director of HR & Talent Acquisition and is based in New York, NY. The work model is hybrid, with 3 days per week onsite and 2 days per week remote.
Key Responsibilities
The role covers campus talent pipeline creation, university relationship management, intern program execution, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to support staffing needs across the business.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new graduates for UNIQLO’s Management Program.
- Establish, grow, and sustain relationships with universities for long-term recruitment value.
- Work closely with academic leaders and campus stakeholders to strengthen partnerships.
- Drive campus recruiting plans that strengthen the company’s visibility and employer brand at targeted regional and national universities.
- Lead and support a high-performing UMC team, with responsibility for development and performance expectations.
- Partner with the Director of Stores and HR Area Managers to align hiring targets with store and business requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, and attend campus recruiting events such as presentations, career fairs, interviews, and networking sessions.
- Maintain relationships with career centers, faculty, and students while organizing on-campus activities such as advertising, information sessions, speaker events, career fairs, and interviews.
- Design and run the summer internship program for store and corporate teams, including performance reviews, social events, staffing, and budget tracking.
- Track, update, and interpret recruiting data for schools and programs.
- Build an external market network to stay informed on competition and compensation trends, then share recommendations with the team.
- Manage the budget for campus recruiting and intern-related events while keeping spending tightly controlled.
- Help shape and execute social media initiatives across the recruiting function.
- Lead new manager trainee orientation with the Learning and Development team to support a smooth transition into the company culture and values.
- Adjust training programs with Learning and Development so manager trainees can progress to store manager roles within 9 months of joining.
- Take on additional duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Qualifications
The position calls for several years of recruiting experience, strong communication skills, university recruiting exposure, and comfort with travel and seasonal scheduling demands.
- At least 4 years of recruiting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in college recruiting.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, HR, or a related discipline.
- Strong skills in communication, interpersonal interaction, public speaking, and presentations.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of office software and tools, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel as needed during peak recruiting seasons, estimated at about 30%.
- Flexibility to work evenings during recruitment periods and the summer season.
- Comfort working with major social media platforms.
- Prior experience using an applicant tracking system.
- Strong listening skills along with clear written and verbal communication.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are expected.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $125,000 to $155,000. Final compensation may vary based on experience, education, certifications, applicable skills, expertise, and work location.
