Role overview
This opportunity is with a major financial services client and is focused on building, automating, and managing targeted marketing campaigns. The position is suited to someone who can work with customer data, turn business needs into technical campaign plans, and deliver work effectively in a fast-moving setting. Success in this role depends on a blend of technical capability, project coordination, and strong partnership with internal stakeholders.
Compensation
The pay range for this contract assignment is CAD 36.23 to CAD 43.48 per hour.
What you will do
- Create and run direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns aligned to business needs.
- Assess campaign specifications and convert them into detailed implementation approaches.
- Set up and automate recurring campaigns using campaign management platforms.
- Spot workflow problems and suggest practical process improvements.
- Track project milestones and help ensure campaign components are delivered on time.
- Work closely with internal partners, sharing updates on progress and status.
- Perform technical checks to confirm campaign data is accurate and reliable.
- Oversee lead-generation process steps while staying aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Secure approval from business partners before campaign execution begins.
- Investigate and fix urgent campaign issues to protect delivery timelines.
- Support documentation efforts and help standardize campaign-related data processes.
- Manage small to medium projects and keep deliverables on quality and schedule.
Required background and capabilities
- At least 3 years of experience in campaign marketing or database marketing.
- Strong understanding of CRM, campaign planning, and campaign delivery.
- Hands-on experience using data analysis to support marketing decisions.
- Working knowledge of SAS, SQL, Unica Campaign, or similar tools.
- Ability to translate business objectives into technical requirements.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
- Well-developed organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Comfortable handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience in the financial services sector is an advantage.
Preferred qualifications
- Exposure to marketing automation tools beyond the core platforms mentioned.
- Experience working in Azure cloud environments and with NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance as it applies to marketing workflows.
- Self-driven attitude and strong communication skills.
