Role Overview

RAK Ceramics is hiring a Café Barista for its Retail team in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE. The position focuses on creating a warm, polished café experience for showroom visitors by preparing and serving complimentary drinks and light refreshments while maintaining excellent presentation and hygiene standards. This is a non-commercial role, so there are no cash-handling duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso drinks, specialty coffees, teas, and simple cold beverages according to RAK Café standards.
• Present complimentary pastries and beverages in a professional and visually appealing manner.
• Keep the café space tidy and well-arranged, including counters, seating areas, and display sections.
• Use coffee machines, grinders, and related equipment properly, clean them regularly, carry out basic upkeep, and escalate any service issues.
• Track inventory for items such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, pastries, and disposable supplies; raise replenishment requests and reduce unnecessary waste.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures, and keep the required logs and cleaning records up to date.
• Work closely with showroom colleagues to support visitor flow and special events.
• Offer courteous, informed assistance to guests and redirect basic queries to the appropriate showroom team member when needed.
• Complete daily and weekly checklists and leave clear notes for shift handovers.
• Help maintain a consistently high standard of service and presentation throughout the showroom experience.
• Support the resolution of guest concerns to protect customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Hands-on knowledge of coffee-making methods, including espresso extraction and milk texturing.
• Ability to operate and care for café equipment.
• Understanding of hygiene, food safety, and basic stock control.
• Capability to manage supplies efficiently and limit wastage.
• Coordination skills to assist with showroom operations and events.
• Friendly, service-focused approach with strong guest interaction skills.
• Clear communication and good interpersonal ability.
