Role Overview
The company is hiring a CAD Designer / SolidWorks Designer to turn approved room concepts into precise 3D models, layouts, and assembly drawings that are ready for installation. The work centers on using existing product systems and hardware to build accurate equipment configurations.
This position suits someone who is highly detail-focused, comfortable with spatial problem-solving, and experienced in handling fitment and design challenges in real-world applications.
Work Details
Location: 193 Litton Drive, Lexington, SC 29073
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break
Employment type: Full-time, on-site, immediate hiring
What You Will Do
- Build detailed SolidWorks assemblies and 3D models based on approved layouts and design concepts.
- Draft accurate equipment layouts using existing parts, hardware, and product platforms.
- Check that designs will work correctly in actual installation scenarios.
- Confirm that all required components, accessories, and hardware are properly included and specified.
- Compare designs against sales orders and quotes to ensure they are complete and accurate.
- Prepare installation-ready drawings and assembly layouts for field teams.
- Set precise hardware positions, bolt patterns, and connection points.
- Locate and organize CAD models and component libraries as needed.
- Keep the digital repository of parts, assemblies, and standard components well organized.
- Work closely with engineering, sales, and installation teams to solve design and fitment issues.
What We Are Looking For
- Advanced SolidWorks skills, especially in 3D modeling and assemblies.
- Working familiarity with Google SketchUp.
- Experience managing large assemblies and structured CAD file systems.
- Strong precision, visual-spatial thinking, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and keep workflows and records organized.
- Background in manufacturing, fabrication, or equipment design is preferred.
