About the Role
As part of the Corporate Services Division, the Digital Services team partners with internal stakeholders, central agencies, external statutory authorities and portfolio partners to support the department’s digital and ICT agenda. The team focuses on digital services, ICT governance, compliance and assurance arrangements that strengthen the security, resilience and quality of the department’s ICT environment.
This position plays a key role in improving digital capability across the agency, including the use of emerging technologies to lift productivity and deliver better business outcomes. It also helps ensure that important information systems continue to operate effectively and efficiently in support of the department’s strategic goals.
Team Overview
The Business Systems team delivers modern system administration, support, advisory, data management and reporting services that help the department meet its objectives and satisfy corporate governance obligations.
Key Duties
- Lead the Business Systems team to provide strong service delivery and support across SaaS platforms and internal business systems, aligned to agency priorities.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and encourage a shared commitment to the department’s vision and values.
- Oversee the planning, design, procurement, setup, implementation and ongoing monitoring of programs delivered through SaaS and business systems.
- Ensure SaaS and internal systems are managed in line with legislation, whole-of-government ICT governance standards, compliance frameworks, strategic objectives, policies and current best practice.
- Work with business and technical stakeholders, including external suppliers, to achieve practical and effective system implementation and configuration outcomes.
- Manage contracts and make sure all agreed KPIs are achieved.
- Build a cooperative, high-performing team culture that values teamwork, service excellence and professional conduct.
- Set the standard for direct reports and staff through behaviours grounded in honesty, trust, accountability, transparency and inclusion.
