Business Intelligence Analyst

Role Overview

Warfel Construction Company is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst for its fast-moving, collaborative team in East Petersburg, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will help shape a modern and dependable data environment by turning raw information into accurate insights that support decision-making in finance, project management, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for project managers, regional general managers, and senior leaders.
• Work with internal stakeholders to clarify reporting needs and convert them into clear, reliable reporting tools.
• Present complex findings in a way that is easy for non-technical audiences to understand.
• Own the full work-in-progress reporting process, ensuring leadership receives accurate, stable, and functional Power BI reporting.
• Update and improve dashboards and reports as business requirements change.
• Prepare documentation for report logic, data definitions, and reporting workflows to support consistency and transparency.
• Set and maintain reporting standards, naming rules, and source-of-truth designations across the reporting ecosystem.
• Create reference materials that support long-term knowledge sharing and reporting continuity.
• Assist with third-party data vendors by reviewing their outputs and confirming that reporting deliverables match business expectations.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to close gaps and keep project scope and deliverables on track.
• Partner with IT on access, integrations, and platform setup.
• Gain working knowledge of how information moves from source systems into Microsoft Fabric.
• Help validate data pipelines by spotting refresh issues, data mismatches, or report problems when they occur.

Qualifications

• Practical understanding of data warehouse and lakehouse concepts, including how data is organized, stored, and prepared for reporting.
• Hands-on Power BI experience, with dashboards created for actual business users.
• Background working with multiple source systems and converting that data into trustworthy reporting outputs.
• Strong ability to explain data clearly to non-technical stakeholders and build confidence in the accuracy of the numbers.
• Good command of DAX for creating calculated measures and columns.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Azure-based data environments.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain seated for extended periods while using a computer and office equipment such as a calculator, telephone, copier, or printer.
• Regular communication with internal staff and, at times, external clients is required to share accurate information.
