  • Set up monitoring, alerting, observability, and root-cause analysis for pipelines, datasets, and dashboards.
  • Investigate and resolve performance issues in SQL, semantic models, and dataset settings.
  • Help shape the analytics roadmap through recommendations on architecture, tooling, automation, and governance.
  • Assess new BI technologies, AI agents, and automation options, and advise on their business impact.
  • Lead cross-functional design discussions for significant BI initiatives to ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy.
  • Translate business goals into analytical frameworks and enterprise data models.
  • Coach BI Specialists and business users on visualization standards, data literacy, and best practices for consuming semantic models.
  • Provide technical guidance on high-impact analytics work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a similar field.
  • At least 7 years of practical experience in BI engineering or analytics architecture, ideally in the Microsoft BI ecosystem.
  • Advanced hands-on expertise in Power BI modeling, including DAX, Power Query (M), relationships, incremental refresh, partitions, and DirectQuery approaches.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL development, query tuning, indexing, and data warehouse concepts.
  • Experience building and managing BI pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data validation processes.
  • Exposure to Databricks or another comparable big data platform is preferred.
  • Experience creating CI/CD, DevOps, or automation solutions for BI assets.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, access management, security roles, and BI lifecycle control.
  • Proven ability to lead architecture conversations, define standards, and influence enterprise data direction.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical ideas to business audiences.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, leadership qualities, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
