Work Location and Schedule

This is a part-time position based in Inglewood, California. It does not include benefits. Because the work supports a live sports and entertainment environment, the schedule must be flexible and may include nights, weekends, and holidays for concerts and NBA games.

Key Duties

  • Handle routine reporting requests and respond to ad hoc business questions from stakeholders.
  • Create, refresh, and maintain Power BI reports using curated data sources and established semantic models.
  • Check report outputs carefully to confirm accuracy before distribution.
  • Assist with recurring reporting for ticketing, operations, fan experience, app and loyalty, retail, and venue performance.
  • Work with analysts to complete essential reporting and analysis tasks.
  • Flag data quality or logic issues when they need support from analysts or analytics engineering.
  • Keep report documentation current, including metric definitions, refresh schedules, and usage notes.
  • Support access management for reports and maintain user group assignments.
  • Clearly explain findings and report changes to both technical and non-technical teammates.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Data Analytics.

Background and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Math, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, analysis, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or comparable business intelligence tools.
  • Careful attention to detail and a consistent habit of validating numbers before sharing them.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis and reporting concepts such as filtering, aggregation, and trend review.
  • Introductory SQL experience, or a clear interest in building SQL capability.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and the ability to balance multiple requests.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-moving environment.
  • Interest in learning and using AI tools and best practices to support team development in AI skills.
  • Interest in sports, live events, entertainment, fan experience, or venue operations.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience documenting reports, metrics, business rules, or data definitions.
  • Exposure to ticketing, CRM, marketing, retail, operations, finance, or customer and fan data.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SQL databases, or modern data platforms.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or similar products to improve productivity, reporting, analysis, or documentation.

Technology and Innovation Culture

The LA Clippers value curiosity and innovation. Team members are expected to be open to emerging technology and to use AI tools thoughtfully to work more efficiently, support creativity, and improve the fan and business experience.
