What the role involves
- Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline with strong-quality prospects to achieve sales targets.
- Organize prospect information by timing, deal size, and opportunity type to support growth plans.
- Keep the CRM accurately updated to enable forecasting and management reporting.
- Build lasting relationships with customers, business partners, and industry contacts.
- Spot opportunities to sell across other divisions and coordinate the response process.
- Track market changes and share relevant updates with leadership.
- Handle customer enquiries quickly and professionally.
- Make sure customer needs are addressed from initial enquiry through delivery and post-sale support.
- Create and present polished presentations informed by current market knowledge.
- Transfer projects smoothly to the Project Management team once a deal is secured.
- Suggest pricing for projects that exceed delegated approval limits.
- Take an active part in team meetings and internal events.
What you should bring
This opportunity suits someone with at least 3 years of experience in business development and account management, plus a proven history of winning new business and surpassing internal targets. You should feel comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, and you will need strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities. Experience in supply chain, logistics, and related support solutions is considered an advantage. Qualifications in Engineering, Commerce, or Logistics are also viewed favorably.
