Role overview
DSV is expanding its logistics and transport network, and this Dublin-based role offers the chance to support that growth in Contract Logistics. As a Business Development Manager, you will focus on winning new work, strengthening a small group of existing accounts, and helping the business build long-term commercial success in Ireland.
The position is based in Dublin, Ireland, and follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 to 17:30.
What you will do
- Spot and pursue new business prospects in the Irish logistics market.
- Reach out to potential customers through networking, meetings, and consultative selling.
- Develop and retain a small portfolio of current client accounts.
- Strengthen customer relationships by understanding needs and tailoring solutions accordingly.
- Keep an organised sales pipeline updated in CRM systems, using data to guide activity.
- Create and present proposals, tenders, and commercial presentations.
- Work with operations and implementation teams to support smooth onboarding and high service standards.
- Review market movements, competitor activity, and industry trends to inform sales strategy.
- Contribute to team objectives through collaboration, cross-selling, and sharing knowledge.

- A strong background in sales or business development, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or a similar sector.
- Commercial judgement with the ability to identify and close opportunities effectively.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, paired with a customer-focused mindset.
- Confidence in managing relationships and stakeholders at different levels.
- A proactive, target-driven approach and the ability to work independently.
- Experience using CRM platforms and maintaining a structured pipeline.
- Good planning and territory management skills, with the ability to balance new business and account retention.
- A full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel when needed.
