Its portfolio includes internationally recognised names such as Johnnie Walker, Guinness and Tanqueray, alongside local favourites like Bundaberg Rum, Mr Black and Ello. About the Sales Function
Sales is the point where the company’s brands connect with customers and consumers in the real world. The team works closely with clients across markets, channels and occasions to keep the brands visible, relevant and available. It is a fast-moving, relationship-led environment where commercial thinking, curiosity and strong partnerships are central to success.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will join the Field Sales team and take ownership of a defined territory across Adelaide. The position combines account management with new business development: you will look after an existing customer base while also finding and converting new opportunities to expand growth in the territory.
The role focuses on a mix of on-premise venues and requires you to build strong commercial relationships, influence customer decisions and deliver results through effective execution and market insight. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, treating the territory like your own business while being backed by a strong portfolio of premium brands and a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the territory with end-to-end ownership, setting priorities and plans that support long-term growth.
- Develop strong, lasting customer partnerships that create value for both the business and its customers.
- Identify opportunities, progress them through to execution, and follow through until results are delivered.
- Use data, commercial judgment and market insight to make decisions that increase revenue, distribution and share.
- Execute to a high standard in market, ensuring the brands are represented strongly and performance is improved.
Experience and Skills Needed
- Demonstrated history of taking ownership and delivering outcomes from start to finish.
- Ability to build relationships and influence a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience spotting opportunities and turning them into measurable business results.
- Comfort using data, insight and sound judgment to guide decisions.
- Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to focus on work that creates the greatest impact.
- Resilience and flexibility in fast-changing environments.
Flexible Working
The company values flexibility and encourages discussion about what working arrangements best support wellbeing and work-life balance from the first day.
Rewards and Benefits
- Competitive compensation, including a market-leading salary, performance-based bonus and other industry benefits.
- Flexible working arrangements with no fixed office days, supporting a better balance between work and personal life.
- Generous paid parental leave for all parents, along with support for important life events.
- Wellbeing support such as mental health resources, wellbeing programmes and employee assistance services.
- Access to global career opportunities, learning programmes and development pathways.
- An inclusive, values-led culture where people are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
- Employee discounts and experiences across a well-known brand portfolio.
Inclusion and Diversity
The company states that its purpose is to celebrate life every day, everywhere, and that inclusion is a core part of that purpose. It welcomes people from all backgrounds and encourages a culture where differences in gender, ethnicity, ability, age, sexual orientation, social class, education, experience and mindset are recognised and valued. The organisation aims to build a respected, high-performing consumer products business and invites candidates to help shape the next generation of celebrations worldwide.
