Job description

Role overview

We’re looking for a driven and self-starting Business Development Manager who can help expand market share and add strong strategic value. This opportunity suits either an experienced sales professional seeking a new challenge or an ITAD specialist ready to progress into a bigger role.

Role details

  • Location: Hybrid setup with work from home and Silverdale Area, New Zealand
  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Function: Sales / Business Development
  • Reporting line: Chief Revenue Officer / New Zealand General Manager

What the role involves

The position focuses on growing revenue by finding new business opportunities and broadening services within existing accounts. You will use your industry network and commercial thinking to sell high-value IT asset life-cycle services and managed service solutions, both directly to clients and through channel partners, while building long-term, profitable relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Meet margin and revenue goals in the target market by delivering quarterly business plans.
  • Oversee governance, financial reporting, and SLA/KPI performance for assigned accounts to maintain strong client satisfaction.
  • Keep sales activity levels high, including meetings and outbound outreach, while maintaining precise Salesforce CRM records for opportunities, pipelines, and campaigns.
  • Work with senior sales leadership on business planning, product development, market analysis, and focused marketing initiatives.
  • Manage tender opportunities end to end, from contract stage through successful delivery, in coordination with internal teams.
  • Work alongside Service Delivery to ensure commissioning tasks such as imaging, asset tagging, refurbishment, and data wiping are completed to standard, with correct pricing and invoicing.
  • Follow internal policy requirements and comply with international Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, and Information Security standards, including ISO/R2 frameworks.

About you

You should be a positive, proactive problem-solver with solid organisation skills and a real interest in technology life-cycle management.

What will help you succeed

  • Strong knowledge of professional selling methods and managing complex sales cycles from start to finish.
  • Solid experience in sales and marketing within IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) or IT Managed Services, which is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with people at all levels.
  • Comfortable using technology, with strong capability in MS Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Excellent time management, multitasking ability, and strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel within New Zealand and overseas when needed.

Equal opportunity statement

The employer encourages applications from people of all backgrounds and is committed to inclusive hiring practices.
