Job description
About the Role
Join Ebury’s Sydney team as a Business Developer / FX Sales Associate and build a career in FinTech sales focused on international finance, foreign exchange, and global payments. This role is designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional who wants structured training, close mentorship, and a pathway into high-performing sales, account management, or leadership tracks.
You will work in a fast-moving environment where every customer conversation helps you strengthen your commercial skills, expand your network, and deepen your understanding of global markets. The position offers uncapped commission, hands-on learning, and access to development programmes built to accelerate growth.
What You Will Do
Your core focus will be creating new business opportunities by engaging decision-makers across different industries. You will research prospects, learn about their needs, and position international payment and FX solutions in a way that fits their requirements.
In this role, you will present solutions, handle negotiations, and work toward closing deals. You will also coordinate with internal teams to make sure new customers are onboarded smoothly and receive a strong first experience.
What Ebury Looks For
Ebury is seeking someone enthusiastic, highly driven, and ready to build a career in B2B sales or a client-facing environment. Prior FX experience is not required, as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be comfortable making a high volume of cold calls every day, communicate clearly in English, and show genuine curiosity about financial markets and international trade.
The company values potential, resilience, and ambition over an extensive CV. Strong people skills, the ability to work toward demanding targets, and a collaborative mindset are important for success in this role.
Career Growth and Support
This opportunity comes with a clearly defined growth path. Ebury describes a fast-track route into sales management, with a typical promotion possible within the first 12 months. Another progression path is toward becoming an FX specialist or trusted client advisor, focusing on account management and relationship building.
You will receive a structured training programme through the Ebury Business Developer Academy, direct mentoring from experienced leaders and account managers, and access to modern tools and systems designed to help you perform effectively. The Sydney office is centrally located and well connected by public transport.
Benefits and Perks
The role includes a competitive starting salary with uncapped commission so performance can be rewarded from day one. Ebury also offers a benefits package tailored to the location, which typically includes health care and social benefits. The workplace culture is described as collaborative, supportive, and focused on both team success and personal development.
About Ebury
Ebury provides integrated solutions for business accounts, hedging, and financing through one platform, helping companies manage cash flow and scale across borders. Founded in 2009, the company has grown into a major global FinTech with 1,800+ employees across nearly 70 cities.
The organisation places strong emphasis on inclusion, belonging, and respect for difference, and it states that it stands against discrimination in all forms.
Additional Information
The role is based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and is a full-time onsite position.
The posting highlights that the successful candidate will join a high-growth international business and be part of a broader team working to support global expansion for clients.
