Job description

Role overview

We are looking for a highly driven, customer-oriented, and data-led Business Analyst to join the Strategy team. In this role, you will help improve customer retention and support revenue growth by handling renewals for existing subscribers. Success in this position calls for close attention to detail, strong communication, and a genuine interest in using data to unlock growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, refine, and report on core metrics tied to retention, engagement, and revenue, then turn those findings into practical business actions and ongoing improvements.
  • Dig into datasets, draw out useful insights, and present them clearly for decision-making.
  • Use SQL to run substantial database queries and gather the data needed for analysis and hypothesis testing.
  • Apply business understanding and financial modeling to estimate revenue, churn, and overall business performance trends.
  • Use predictive analytics to segment customers, forecast patterns, and identify risks before they materialize.
  • Build and manage a customer loyalty program from the ground up.
  • Create and improve retention strategies aimed at lowering churn, increasing revenue, and improving customer lifetime value.
  • Review retention-rate assumptions in forecasts and run scenario analyses that account for additional churn-related factors.
  • Segment customers by behavior, preference, and lifecycle stage, and recommend process improvements based on the findings.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing, product, operations, and customer service teams, to align CRM efforts with broader goals and ensure smooth execution.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to uncover pain points, improvement opportunities, and emerging trends.
  • Champion customer-first initiatives using data from across the organization, including NPS, customer satisfaction, and customer experience measures.

Experience and qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a high-impact analytical role that has delivered meaningful business outcomes through strategic thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and initiative, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
  • At least 1 year of experience turning complex information into actionable insights from customer data and from both primary and secondary research.
  • Strong understanding of customer retention, including cohort-based analysis and familiarity with LTV curves and the importance of lifetime value.
  • MBA is preferred and considered an added advantage when paired with relevant experience.
  • Experience working with large datasets.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong business and financial judgment, along with excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
