Role overview
North West Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Business Analyst to help convert data into practical insights that improve healthcare delivery in regional and remote communities. In this role, you will contribute to reporting, analysis and planning activities across clinical and corporate areas, supporting better decisions and stronger outcomes for the North West Queensland region.
Key purpose of the role
You will support evidence-based decision-making, service planning and performance improvement across the health service. By working closely with stakeholders, you will interpret complex information, turn it into clear recommendations and help guide strategy, operational performance and service improvement initiatives.
What you will do
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports and analytical tools that monitor performance and support planning and operational decision-making.
- Work alongside clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data-led solutions.
- Assist with service planning, performance review processes, modelling and research to support continuous improvement.

Requirements and conditions
- A current C Class Motor Vehicle Licence is required.
- The preferred applicant will need to complete pre-employment screening, including criminal history checks.
- This role is classified as a VPD risk position, so proof of vaccination or immunity may be required for Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- A probation period may apply.
