About the role
This full-time Business Analyst position is based in Box Hill South, Victoria. The role supports several teams across the organisation, with close partnership across Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Sales. It is a key role for producing analytics, financial insights, and performance reporting that help senior leaders make informed decisions.
You will assess and validate financial strategies for operational practicality and profitability, while also contributing to business improvements through data analysis, systems enhancement, and process automation. The position includes responsibility for procurement support, production performance monitoring, and development of dashboards and reporting tools using SAP, Power BI, and VBA.
This is a practical, collaborative position suited to someone with strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and confidence engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
Procurement and category support
- Work alongside Category Managers and Procurement Specialists to support category planning and sourcing activities
- Prepare spend analysis, supplier performance insights, and cost breakdowns to uncover savings opportunities
- Assist with tenders, including RFP and RFQ processes, through pricing assessment and supplier comparison
- Monitor and report savings initiatives in coordination with Finance
- Review market movements and input costs to help guide procurement decisions
Data, systems, and automation
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools in Power BI, SAP, and VBA
- Increase reporting speed and accuracy through automation and process improvement
- Maintain the quality and consistency of SAP master data
Operational performance and continuous improvement
- Track production performance and identify areas for improvement
- Support and coordinate root cause analysis activities
Commercial and cross-functional support
- Assist with pricing and profitability analysis
- Work with Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain teams on commercial initiatives
- Provide financial modelling, forecasting, and performance analysis
Project and reporting support
- Contribute to month-end reporting and progress tracking of initiatives
- Support project coordination and stakeholder communication
- Carry out other tasks as needed
What you will bring
You should have a strong analytical approach, along with commercial and operational understanding, so you can turn data into clear business recommendations.
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or supply chain settings is preferred
- Previous exposure to procurement, sourcing, or category management support is an advantage
- Proven ability in data analysis, financial modelling, and performance reporting
- Experience with tenders, cost analysis, and supplier evaluation is desirable
- Strong systems skills, including SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel; VBA is desirable
