Job description

About the company

LGT is a global private banking and asset management business owned by an entrepreneurial family. It operates as the family office of the Princely House of Liechtenstein and brings extensive experience in managing substantial asset portfolios.

Role overview

The Delivery team is growing and is hiring several experienced Business Analysts to help deliver strategic transformation and mandatory change initiatives across the LGT Wealth Management business. This position sits at the heart of the change agenda, turning business needs into practical, sprint-ready requirements, helping shape solution design, and supporting high-quality releases across the company’s platforms. It is well suited to someone who enjoys solving complex problems, making decisions based on data, and working closely with stakeholders to drive meaningful results.

The business is especially interested in candidates with backgrounds in regulatory and compliance work, efficiency and scale initiatives within client-facing advisory settings, continuous improvement and process optimisation, performance reporting, financial products, AML, regulatory reform, digital onboarding, or data-led projects.

Employment terms

This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract and is offered on a full-time basis, with a workload of at least 80%.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to refine requirements, rank priorities, and help remove blockers across several workstreams.
  • Capture and document business needs, then convert them into clear, sprint-ready user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Draft user stories and review them with business and technology partners.
  • Assist Senior Business Analysts and business owners in decomposing epics into stories and defining acceptance criteria.
  • Support Project Managers in planning and delivering both business and technical elements of initiatives.
  • Guide developers and testers through the sprint lifecycle so delivery aligns with sprint goals and stakeholder value.
  • Contribute to definition, design, and testing activities while maintaining traceability from requirements through to test cases and quality outcomes.
  • Prepare stakeholder updates, present demos and training, and help document business procedures.
  • Spot opportunities to improve processes and contribute to business case or lean canvas development for future work.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, or 5+ years in Wealth Management with BA responsibilities.
  • Strong exposure to Wealth Advisory or Private Banking platforms; Avaloq experience is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with process mapping, user story creation, and Agile delivery methods.
  • Ability to stay resilient, work methodically, and handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and advanced Excel.
  • Strong understanding of wealth management products and services is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of SDLC and change management approaches would be an advantage.
  • A degree is required.
