Job Summary

This opportunity is for a discovery-oriented Business Analyst to contribute to digital work in the aviation sector. The position focuses on taking unclear business challenges and turning them into well-defined solutions, with a strong need for critical analysis, effective communication, and the ability to align business and technology stakeholders.

Required Experience and Background

  • A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • Applicants should bring 2 to 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst or in a comparable role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in gathering requirements, analyzing needs, and preparing documentation such as BRDs, user stories, and use cases is essential.
  • At least 1 year of experience in SIT/UAT and defect tracking or resolution is required.
  • Practical exposure to Agile ways of working, including Scrum or Kanban, along with tools such as JIRA and Confluence, is needed.
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical ability and the skill to organize uncertain problems into structured, workable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and narrative-building skills are important for influencing and coordinating with stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Design Thinking methods and creating user-focused solutions is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI collaboration platforms such as Figma or Miro will be useful.
  • Experience with performance testing or other non-functional requirement testing is a plus.
  • Professional BA certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or IIBA-AAC are considered beneficial.
  • Background in aviation or large enterprise platforms would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to capture business needs and convert them into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Break down unclear problem statements into defined scope, solution options, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Create BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flow documentation.
  • Run workshops and collaborative discussions to build alignment and support decisions.
  • Use Design Thinking practices to shape and validate user-centered solutions.
  • Partner with UX teams, developers, and architects to confirm feasibility and solution alignment.
  • Help define and support SIT and UAT so the delivered solution meets business and user expectations.
  • Serve as the main connection between business and technology teams, balancing priorities and expectations.
  • Take part in Agile ceremonies and assist with backlog refinement and delivery coordination.

This is a contract role based onsite in Singapore, Singapore.
