Business Analyst I, DPWI

Role Overview

This role is focused on using data to understand trends, improve forecasting, and uncover opportunities that strengthen customer experience across a large-scale e-commerce environment. Key Responsibilities

• Examine large datasets to uncover relationships, trends, and meaningful patterns.
• Build SQL queries, develop ETL processes, and create dashboards that track relevant business metrics.
• Collaborate with business and product teams to understand roadmap changes and their downstream effects on data.
• Prepare precise forecasts for partner teams such as workforce management and operations so they can plan capacity effectively.
• Compare forecasted and actual results, identify gaps, and take corrective action to reduce future variance.
• Assess downstream effects on operations metrics and use a backward-looking approach to identify what needs to change.
• Identify pain points and improvement opportunities, propose suitable solutions, and execute them to create impact.
• Work with partner teams to gather information, share relevant updates, and lead discussions using data and a customer-centric approach.
• Provide consistent, proactive communication and status updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in tax, finance, or a similar analytical field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Excel, including macros, INDEX, conditional lists, arrays, pivots, and lookups.
• Ability to write advanced SQL queries across multiple datasets, along with knowledge of ETL and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience using reporting and visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
• Ability to define requirements and translate data and metrics into actionable business insights.
• Preferred: scripting experience for automation using Python, Perl, Ruby, or similar languages.
• Preferred: experience working with multiple stakeholder groups.
